Normal Tyres to Tubeless Tyres
Using Art Latex
Here's how to convert your normal rims and non-tubeless mountainbike
tyres to tubeless tyres using easily available materials.
Get art latex (rubber latex mixed in ammonia) used for masking in
watercolour painting from your local art supply shop.
Clean the inside of your rims thoroughly with soap and water. Wipe
/ blow dry.

Get hold of some masking tape, electrical tape and
an old inner tube with presta valve (recycle the punctured ones.. we just
need the valve)

Cover up all the spoke holes on the rim with masking tape.
(Before and After)

2 rounds is sufficient.

Cut out the Presta valve like so..Keep the lock nut..very crucial!

Lay another 2 loops of electrical tape over the masking tape to protect
the
masking tape from the latex

carve out a neat hole to fit the valve through the layers of tape

Fit the Presta valve through, lock the nut tightly

secure it with one long strip of electrical tape, puncture a hole at the
tape
to allow air to be pumped in

This is the tricky part..trim the excess inner tube around the valve.
Make sure none sits on the sides of the rim wall because
the tyre beads will not seat tightly against the rim.

After fitting in the tyre, leave a little pocket to pour in the latex.
Pour in the Art Latex. (Formula, mix 30ml of latex with 200ml of water)

Pump it up!

The tyre will froth like a rabid dog...but it inflates without leaks!!!
The End
