Right on the dot, our guides arrived as promised helped us to sort out our bikes and off we go for a warm up ride. This trail is called Bamboo Trail and it is 8.3km long.
We make our way out of the old city and into the hills. Our guides King and P. Mei were very knowledgeable about every inch of the trail and provided us with good info of how to ride it.
8.3kms of natural terrain with a mix of rocks, roots and leaves is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face for the first ride.
Next stop on day 1, is the 2.5km Chom View trail. Again excellent trail guiding, beautiful natural terrains.
Day 2 we received more VIP treatments from the excellent team from X-Biking. We again warmed up with the Bamboo Trail going at much faster speeds as we are now more familiar with the terrain and the lines.
Next stop was the ATV trail and this has one long rock garden followed by more steep rock gardens. Starts off with a nice little jump and if your are not on good tires, prepare to bite the dust!
This is a black diamond trail 8km long and has a total descent of 1,100m. This was really an intense section and requires full concentration. The best part about this trail is that it ends at a place where there is a very nice local restaurant. Win!
We certainly saved the best for last when we did the double black diamond Crazy Dust, 14km, 1300m elevation drop. It was not only Crazy Dust aptly named but crazy rock drops and crazy speeds too. This trail is also narrow and if you are not careful you will end up arguing with a tree.
All in this is certainly a place blessed with abundance of downhill trails to suit every skill level and especially if you are with X-Biking you know you have the terrain experts here and you are in good hands.
