Jay Hoots is a legend in British Columbia mountain bike culture. He is the President and Founder of Hoots Inc., an accomplished skills park and trail design/build company committed to the creation of exceptional physicalities that meet the changing needs of a community and address the ongoing developments of the sport. Hoots Inc. leads the world in skills park development and continues with partners globally while focusing on over 30 national projects. These include multiple trail projects from access and hiking to all types of bike related trails. Jay will be talking about the creative process of designing sustainable Mountain Bike trails. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
