Andrew here is probably one of the last living biker to ever ride the Magic Carpet trail in it's full glory..

As of today, tall fences (think Jurassic Park) are being built from the water tangki and cutting off the side entrance to the trail.

Perhaps a newer trailhead should be built so that the trail will not be overgrown and go to disuse?

I never liked that section anyway, it was boring, it had poor drainage and it was full of old rubbish. We can do a lot better. I hope we get the chance.

Let me know when and I will get my riding buddies to join in. It's time we put in the effort to work on the trails that we all enjoy.

We met with JLN yesterday. They have given us permission to rebuild any sections of trail that are affected by the fence. Besides Magic Carpet, other trails likely to be affected are Mission, Plan C+ and Pure Quill. Our request for gates at 3 locations (Sri Hartamas, Janie's/Around the Mountain Junction, Lower Flintstone's) will be considered. I will advise everybody when we set a date for re-routing Magic Carpet. Soon.
